kaki bangku?

**TADAA!! I came up with something that might keep me blogging for a while :D Since I don't really have anything to blog about because my life is pretty normal (:

I'll be dealing with the very very common nagging, insults and critism of your aunties, uncles and older sisters and I will start writing it from there. These are the opinions of a very brainless teenager so do not take it that harsh on yourself. I decided to do this because I want to keep my brain working otherwise it might malfunction after the coming holidays. haha. Which is 5 days away and I'm having my test now LMAO

I don't know why people (ge poh aunties, to be specific) have this mindset that teenagers MUST at least be active in a sport...

Just because teenagers are facing puberty at this stage doesn't mean that they have to be active here and active there. Typical grown-ups want to see teens excelling in school and sports, and continue to grow tall and pretty and handsome. If they see teens at home watching tv whilw eating cup noodles they would go,

'aiyah you ahh..you're at your growing stage now and here you are eating unhealthy MSG-infested food while watching Barney! You should go out and do some sports mah. Like that only can grow taller mahh...'

Sounds familiar? Maybe not to some of you but it was to me!

Then they would continue,

'You know, about twenty years ago ahh.. kids your age never stayed at home one.. they always went out to play and they come home all sweaty and stinky. See all of them are so active. I don't understand kids nowadays why only stay at home and do nothing'

So I have to clear things up... (:

I don't recall doing anything back when I was shooting (my height). I don't remember doing much sport and I spent most of my time at home, if not at shopping malls. I DID do maybe sports for 4 hours/month. haha. People said that I was lazy and all that and blah blah blah won't grow tall lah. They said that kids should try BASKETBALL because the sport needs you to run and jump and pant like a dog..

Yeah I did a little basketball back in the days. Didn't like it. Don't ask why I just didn't. So I stopped touching the orange ball at the age of 11.

OI OI OI The point is here that I didn't NOT grow tall. In fact, I grew taller pretty quick and I was one head taller than most of the people. NAAAHHH!! Proved ya wrong!!!

& So I quickly became a tall person..not really lah but I got height hehehe.

Then all the aunties or uncles would say,

'wah you so tall. Do you do basketball? State player ah?'

'How did you grow so tall? You play basketball ah? How often do you play? You know my son also plays basketball but he's still shorter than me...'

UUHHH!!! Correction, I DIDN'T DO ANY BASKETBALL AND I'M NO STATE PLAYER BLAH BLAH. In fact, I don't really like the sport. The only time I enjoyed basketball was when I was 10 or 11, because I re-watched Space Jam. haa

**And so the orange ball fame slowly died down. Then, bird feathers stole the spotlight!

After the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, BADMINTON became a very famous sport because of our only medalist, Datuk Lee Chong Wei. Perhaps he gave hope and dreams to young kids like my brother. haha.

Nobah! I think badminton was pretty well known around Malaysia since I was born (: I remember playing with my neighbour when I was young. teehee.

Parents now enroll their kids in 'Master Badminton Classes' blah blah in hopes of making their anak the FUTURE Lee Chong Wei. So what? I have friends who join badminton classes since they were as tall as the supermarket trolley but none of them are as tall as me. hahaha. beat you at that. And some can't even fetch the shuttlecock LMAO still dare to say that they paid THOUSANDS for the Master Classes. The only training I had was with my popo. hahaha. And what? I can hit shuttlecock better than those kids.

NANANAHHH.

So I didn't do any exercise when I was growing.. did that affect my puberty?
NNNNOOOOO!!!!!

And there it is!!! You don't really have to force your kids do play ball or go swimming. I think it's good for a kid to grow happy (: I was happy when my parents didn't force me to do any sport. And I think that the key to growing healthy is happiness. If your kids are not really good in sports then let it be lah. Some people are born kaki bangku (bad in sports). What is there to force? And don't EVER lower your child's self-esteem. Don't let them hear that you are ashamed of them just because they couldn't kick the ball. If you do..well, NO WONDER YOUR KID WON'T GROW TALL LAH BECAUSE HE/SHE KEEPS HUNCHING WHEN YOU'RE SCOLDING.

**end :D

wait, another sport which parents are crazy about because they hear these players make good money. TENNIS!

I watch tennis on tv because got a lot of liang zai playing. hahahahaha

RAFA!!!

Eih...he's not that tall also whad... Chill aunties, the height comes from the genes. HAHA

P.S If ya havent watched any Tennis but you think Mr.Rafa here looks familiar perhaps you watched Shakira's Gypsy Music Video. He's the male lead.

I'm a gypsy
Are you coming with me?
I'm gonna steal your clothes
and wear them if they fit me

(:

Falling slowly

Falling slowly sing your melody
I'll sing along

Killer. I still think the original version is the best (: Well, I heard for the first time back in 2007 and I still remember it today. Anyone watched the movie before? It's called Once. I think it's an indie movie, low budget film I guess. But the story line is pretty good and it's really original. The songs are really amazing

okay.
now I'm distracted. dang

Anyone watching the YOG?

Anyone of you addicted to the Youth Olympic Games?? Well. It's not bad. I must say that I wasn't interested in the beginning until I watched the swimming part a few days ago. I think they were even better than the adult olympics (Okay. It's the normal Olympics LMAO) because they are all so tiny!!!

Oh yeah. Must support our home team. Though I think we have 0 gold medals now. haha. I lost track. But Lee Wan Lin is likely to win a medal. YOU GO GIRL!!

This is Lee. She is on tv now if you turn it on (: I think she by far the paling graceful one out of the bunch of contestants. I'm not bias but she really is good. Not saying the others are not, but you can just get attracted to her because she's like jelly.

hahaha

This is her without make up. Really different huh? And she's only fifteeen! *&%^ She's so young and there she is, in Singapore, in the YOG, making the country proud.

And soon to win a medal. Oh yeah, I have confidence in her.
Does this make her (and the other Malaysian representatives who WILL win) Datuk-s?
Because Mr. Lee Chong Wei has got his Datukship two years ago, remember?? =P

Enjoy watching :D

High Hopes and heartbreak

For those who are into the 70s vibe and enjoy a day relaxing whilst listening to some music, try Brooke White's High Hopes & Heartbreak album. It's the one. Trust me.

If I were to choose, I think American idol season 7 is by far the best season. I enjoyed watching it the most, honestly. I think the contestants were such great and friendly people. And look what they turned into. David Cook's songs make people cry even though they're more rock-ish. David Archuleta is cute like DUH! And Jason Castro? Needless to say. And look at Brooke White. Her songs are just really nice and great. It soothes you. haha

I know some might think that it's so not 'me' because I listen to these kinds of songs but, I do like listening to songs of this genre. Actually, I don't really have a genre that I like in particular, I like what is music to my ears. I might enjoy songs by Faith Hill to Chris Daughtry, from the Tings Tings to Rascal Flatts. I do not limit myself. I like to experiment. Listen to songs that are rare, don't just listen to songs form the Billboard 100.

And I don't just listen to English songs, I have chinese and well, Thai songs on my mp3 too. Yeah well. I only use an mp3. I have no ipod. haha. But that doesn't stop me from enjoying good music that musicians create.

Have fun!

two fifteen

We weren't allowed to leave the class until 2.15pm today. haha. Not because we had activities or anything but because we were too noisy.

Oh well. Blame the boys. They were messing around behind the class while the teacher was teaching and I supposed she got really mad and so, PUNISHMENT comes in.

Kung wasn't really happy about it because he had to wait for half an hour. haha. I think some of the parents even left my classmates. The school buses? Needless to say. Half an hour is a really long time you know. I normally finished taking my bath if I got home early. hahaha.

Oh well. I'm down with a sore throat. hahaha
No wonder I was so good today..

Fareelok!

& So it was July, means that many kids from form 5 last year were leaving. T__T Yeaps. Too bad. No one really left from our youth, except for a banana. XDD Oh and Banana is not really a form 5 graduate, he actually did form 6 in my school! haha! (My school's form 6 uniform is in light yellow, btw. Banana suit!!)

No this is no banana.
That's Adele and I in a meeting. Joshua and Samuel were fooling around with my camera.

This is the banana! In red. The one beside him is a monkey!! (note the face)

Besides the Banana, Rev Tan and his family will be moving to FCC! )': Means Lisa will be moving with them also!! =( Laura also lah but she's in the US of A now. haha

Gonna miss them. Every single one of them...

This is our Superman pose!! Taken during Rev Tan's farewell. All of us look epic. Picture spoilt by the Lim brothers because they were trying to .... let's not go there (:

And now, left with sadness. I find food to console myself. To cover up the sadness. LAWL!

This is the seed of an olive. Okay, not exactly an olive, I dunno what it is. It's called 橄榄 in chinese. Kung bought loads and we were curious about the seed... so he used the parang to smash it open and walah!! The white thingee is maybe a but. I dug some out and put it in my mouth. Erm, taste like almond but it has a more green taste. taahaa.

*My macro is a total failure!!

but not in this one..

Besides eating the interiors of a seed, I have tons of mangosteens to nom on. hee. Had tons of durians too.

Be You - tiful

Many said that I edited my FB profile picture. darn lah. I didn't edit it. I just played with lighting and didn't wear my spectacles. That's called editing? It's called improvising. Don't ever think that you can't look good in a picture if you don't edit it. Your true self, is always, the prettiest.

Pucker up girls, You're beautiful!

Because God made us in His own image.
Don't tell me you never think you're pretty =P

Ethan is back <3

Boo shoo?

Fatso : Oih. Got time? Wanna go out?
Me: Can't busy
Fatso: Oi bah
Me: I'm busy, really.
Fatso: No way. sure got some time to spare
Me: I really don't have
Fatso: Liar. Say the same thing all the time

The fatso above is somebody, unrevealable. dahaha

So yeah. You might have had the same conversation with me. Even before now, I always used 'I'm busy' as an excuse to turn down many invites to outings, parties, etc. This fatso person shot me, saying that I'm a liar blah blah blah. Well, the truth is that I'm not. If I have time, I'd really like to go. I enjoy these kind of stuff. Going out, walking around the mall, waiting for my parents to lecture me when I get back. You think I'm not a normal teen wanting to spend time with her friends? I have a curfew. I can't really go out often and when I can, I do. When my parents say no, well, that's final.

I'm being really honest. Sometimes when my parents say I can't go, I tell my friends straight. I know I crushed their plan into pieces but I can't just LIE to them and say I've got something else to do. And I think most of my close friends understand that my parents are kindda strict. So I love them for not getting pissed off at me when I say I can't go.

& when I say that I have a church meeting to attend, or when I have a family dinner, I really do. I attend the meetings that I have to attend, and eat with my family when asked. They're my family. Of course I would like to go catch a movie but I have to put my family first. And before everything, I put God and His ministry first. I choose to serve Him in church, and therefore I will. If you think you can persuade me to not attend Sunday Service, think again.

The previous weeks have been busy, really busy. And I know that many are thinking that I'm making excuses of some sort but I'M NOT! I know that my schedule is tightly packed. With school, church, etc. And oh yeah, I feel like running away sometimes. You think I like being busy like this? You think I enjoy the thrill of running from this place to the other? I don't even think that I should be so busy, but I just am. And I'm trying to make myself be less busy, but I can't. There is too much to do, too little seconds in a day

SO YOU IDIOTIC FATSO LUNATIC, I AM BUSY!!!!
You think I have time ah?

One more thing to add, I have extra wushu training on Mondays and Wednesdays. Popo joked saying that I don't have to watch my diet anymore because if I train like that 4 times a week, I'll be as boney as a skeleton.

Yeah like that's gonna happen.
I can't remember an era in my life that I'm actually thin.
