Okay. For now, I've watched this video twice. And cried twice. I have been reading Tim and Audrey's blog for quite some time that's why I know about the proposal lalalala. *stalker face.

So sweet oh the proposal and very down to Earth sincere lah. If my boyfriend proposed to me like that I'll be crying on the floor teresak-esak. haha.

I totally love the fact that they love each other, and may they continue to love one another for thousands of years to come.

THIS IS THE COUPLE OF THE YEAR!! WHOO! Okay, Proposal of the year too!!!

I know it sounds crazy but I hope that they invite me to their wedding. -.-
Dream lah you, Abby. *slaps self.

Merry Christmas Eve everyone!!

Quick Update (:

First up, YESTERDAY WAS HECTIC!!
But fun (: Our church organized a Children Christmas Party in the afternoon. The kids ran around the church compound for hours!! Some cried, some screamed, some sat in the hall and munched their chocolate biscuits. I was very very drained after running around with the children, and at that point I really wanted to hide in the corner and die, but nothing beats fooling around with those carefree souls. (: Feels like as if I'm 7 again =D

After the party we had a rehearsal for today's Gaya Christmas Celebration. Our youth choir is going up stage for a choir presentation so we had to drop by for a quick run-through. I was so tired that time (because it was straight after the party) I even thought of sleeping on the street!!! Who cares no one will recognize me HAHAHAHA. We're performing twice WHOO! Once by ourselves and the next is a combined performance with Stella Maris Church (: YAY!! Marie and her family are in the choir so I was very happy to see them yesterday. (but I was too tired to talk to them D: SORRY AHH!) Spent almost 3 hours rehearsing, but I'm sure today is going to be a blast!!! The Gaya Christmas Celebration is happening from 12-15 December 2011, do join us in celebrating this joyous season!!

Painted my nails. *Finally. Nope, those are not my fingers in the picture. I just want to get that bottle of nail polish ehhehehehehe.

Until I'm free, bye!

FREEDOM!

All of us (I mean my friends and I) are done with our SPM papers. Praise the Lord for he was by my side the whole year, especially during the SPM period. I never thought I'd make it through so quickly!

Chinese paper was hard but it's already history. Gotta look forward, to the future. HEY!!

Went out with Marie, Shnwei and Siaw yesterday after our (except for Marie, she didn't sit for Chinese) last paper =DDDD Had McDonalds' yay! Marie's treat! Then we walked around Centre Point just to relax.

After that, we walked to waterfront. Took A LOT of pictures. Was going to take more but there was this lady and her son (they're probably homeless) approached us and asked us if we could help take a picture of them, with my Instax Mini

O_____________O

Yeap. It was shocking, and I pretended that I didn't hear anything. Later we were too freaked to stay so we walked off. Perhaps she saw that the pictures come out instantly once you snap a photo so she wanted one. And then the rest felt guilty and stuff after we walked and started thinking a little bit too far. Oh well. I don't wanna go back there, if you know what I mean.

Took a taxi to Shnwei's house. LOL my first time riding a taxi in KK. It was quite good actually, and quite cheap, not to mention convenient. Oh, and in Shnwei's house we painted our nails and slacked, a little bit too much (:

photo taken at waterfront

So as usual, I have lots going on in December. Our church is having a Children's Christmas Party this Sunday and the youth is going carolling in Gaya Street the next day. More events to come and the Christmas Spirit is approaching. Can fully enjoy my end year this year you know why? I don't have to worry about school next year!!! WHOOO!!!!

*Plaaaang

LOL.

Something really unexpected happened today :)

I went to po's place early morning, to say goodbye to Uncle Stephen (Kung's cousin from Singapore. So actually he's my granduncle but.. 'uncle' for short. hehe) and his family who came over to KK for a short visit. So yeah, everything was normal, until..

They loaded the bags into kung's car.

Kung drives a Honda CRV, and you can say that his car is more important than anything. Every time after he takes it out for a drive, he spends time wiping his car, polishing it so it'll be shiny. He takes really good care of it and thus, it looks good as new.

Okay, so back to the story. They were loading the bags into the car. And Uncle Bob (Uncle Stephen's brother-in-law) did the very last thing, shut the boot door.

Yeah, so I think he used quite an amount of force to shut it and so the back glass window broke =O LOL

I know you couldn't really understand it but I just don't know how to explain it. =S

Okay, let me show you a picture (not my kung's car but I just googled a photo of a car just to show you what I mean..)

The picture at the top shows the window (I don't know if it's called a window or ... ) which was being smashed into pieces, due to excessive force. haha. The glass could not withstand the force and therefore, shatters (physics LOL)

Yeah, yeah. Hard to imagine. I know. But it's true. I can't really explain it but maybe I should get some pictures of the car (and the broken window) so you guys can get what I mean. *feeling like a failure blogger =(

TROLOLOL. It was an accident and no one had ever thought it would happen. EVER. I know that kung was pretty upset about it (DUH!! It's his favourite and only car!) and Uncle Bob was probably shocked about it. I could see it in his face that he was really sorry. But aiyah, accidents like this happen (correction, I think this is the first LOL) and it was pretty funny actually. Everyone took a while to register after the window broke. HAHAHAHA

*****

Went to Megalong to watch Breaking Dawn after that. I hate to spoil it but I didn't like the movie. Either it's because I read the book and I know what's gonna happen, or it's because they censored the important parts and left us the boring ones. -.-

It's been forever since I've watched a movie lah and I was disappointed because the movie was only so-so. Oh well. Need to watch more movies to top this one. After this Wednesday then I'M FREE!!!!

Okay, carolling practice tonight. Better gargle some honey because my throat is itchyyyyyy.

Graduation picture (:

Confessions

There once was a girl who took her SPM sometime in November. She was excited for her Physics paper, not because she was good at the subject, but she has improved the most out of all the other Science subjects. With help from her dad, reference books, and friends, she managed to pass the Physics paper in school-based exams.

The night before SPM, she did a little bit of revision, not wanting to stress herself out. She didn't want any more pimples to grow on her already-full-of-pimples forehead. Before she went to bed, she said a prayer, hoping that she would be able to answer the questions tomorrow, and that she won't be careless.

She did poorly in her paper one. The questions were tough and tricky. Although she did pretty bad, she did not give up in paper two. She was confident in that paper, and hoped that the scores she could get in paper two would cover up for paper one.

She checked and checked the paper, again and again. When it was time to pass up, she handed the answer sheet to the teacher with a smile.

3 seconds later, she realised that she hasn't completed her paper. The last section, of the last question, of the last part of the paper was left unanswered. That question, consists of 5 marks, which to her, means the world.

That girl was me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*bangs head to the wall

给你啦!!

Heyyyy. I'm Back!!!

Nope, I haven't finished SPM yet but I'm halfway through. Okay, I'm not really halfway through but I survived one week of it, and I think that is a terrific accomplishment! *claps hand for self . *slaps self to stop it * frown (This is what happens when you spend too much time studying for an exam)

So uhm, yeah. I've sat for 4 subjects this week, Malay, English, Sejarah (it is officially History!) and Mathematics. I can't say that all the papers were easy, but I managed to finish them all. I might not have much confidence in them but hopefully I can't get A+ for the 4 of them, and A+ for the other 6 subjects that I'm going to take these coming weeks. Hopefully I will not be so careless anymore, and would speed up in completing my papers =O Seriously lah normally I do exam papers during trials so fast but during SPM my speed is even slower than that of a turtle. ='( Then I have no time to check and end up worrying about the paper for the whole day and night and next morning. =(

In the midst of hardship....WAIT!!! You see?! You seeeeee?! I have Over-stressed-student disorder. AKA OSS. Symptom: No matter what you're thinking, you're applying what you have studied AHAHAHA That's what happened to me. Over stressed bah. Even when I'm driving on the road, I kept thinking about momentum and inertia and the ABS system. Then when I reach home I was like, what the?!?!?! Why did I think of those things. Crazy. Perhaps it's a good thing, but I don't like it. Makes me sound, and feel like I'm a genius but in reality I'm not. And in the end people will say, 'Ameh this girl talk only smart but results so-so only...'

So I better quit the talking and get back to my books D: Life as an SPM student really isn't that much fun at all. Oh well. It isn't that bad. I just have 3 more weeks to my freedom. Thinking about it already makes me feel a wee bit better. I need to get 10A+s! Because someone promised me an IPad. MUAHAHAHA!

Burp-ger

My family and I spent the Raya Holidays in Kundasang, along with a dozen more families. It was a cell group outing, I must say. Had great fellowship, good food and played many rounds of Monopoly Deal.

Came down from Kundasang yesterday, tired as a hibernating polar bear. Slept early last night (okay, it's actually around 11pm) and got up at 5.30 this morning, to make some 830 burgers for the Anglican Chinese Youths.

Yup. A lady who is in charged of their food asked for our help to pack burgers so we said okay (:

And I didn't know that I would be so tired!!

Skip the packing part, we spent like 2 hours dealing with burgers. Later we had breakfast together. Guess what we had? BURGERS LAH!!

And I had TWO!!!!

In this case, the term 'two is better than one' is totally screwed =O
Sorry Boys Like Girls, I still love you guys!

After bombarding (Marie kept using this word in her post so it's stuck in my head) my stomach with burgers and tea, headed home. Went back to sleep.

Got down to Centre Point to catch a movie with the wushu mates. Lots of people. Bad timing. Never go down town during Raya. D: Watched Smurfs. It's a pretty good movie (: Reminds me of my childhood when I watched the Smurfs every afternoon before dinner. heh (:

But before the show, I had another BURGER! From McDonalds...

Am back now. Tired. Still tons of things undone! Neighbour invited us over for open house, but po and kung are coming over for dinner.

Not having burgers for a while. I think I'd spin if I see another one in front of me.

But we're having burgers tomorrow after Youth Alpha *buuuuuuuuuuuuuuurp

Day Three - Brighton to Oostende!

*This is the phase where 6 foreigners move from one foreign country to the other foreign country!

Woke up again, early in the morning hehehehe. And then we took a walk around the housing area where my aunt and uncle lived in for more than 17 years ( I use 17 because they lived there even before I was born so... yeah. It's probably around 30 years or so =/)

The housing area there is, MASSIVE!! And the flowers there are so pretty and colourful. I got so caught up with all the flowers and trees and I was really far behind. Pa, ma, and sai kuma left me behind HAHAHA Didn't get to walk the whole housing area (trust me, it would take DAYS) but at least I managed to snap pictures of other people's flowers/gardens and their very vintage-looking houses!

So pretty kan?
AHHH I wanna go back I'm not done snapping!!

Love the houses there! They're like so old but still so pretty.
FULL OF CHARACTER!
If houses here get old they usually smash them into bits and build a new one ='((
Y U NO PRESERVE OLD HOUSE!!?

Poppy (:
You will be seeing a lot of this flower! It's actually used to make a type of drug, which I forgot the name. You cannot see it in Malaysia because it's banned (I think...)

See the snails there also so pretty! HAHA

I have no idea what these are but I think this is one of the pictures I liked most. So exotic eh!

One last picture before we leave. (:

So Uncle Dennis and Sai Kuma dropped us at a bus stop. We waited there for around half an hour for our coach to come. Again, it was freezing ( I have no idea how they survive! It's only summer and it's already so freezing cold )

After riding on the road for a few hours, we had packed lunch at a rest-stop. Didn't take any pictures there because we were rushing for time. Then, we changed into another coach. This time, it was a bigger one. And it's red. WHOOOO!

Oh yeah. I forgot to state that we were actually going to Belgium!!!! =___=
Sorry about that.

A lot of people asked me where is Belgium. I wouldn't know if you ask me before but I googled it after I came back. HAHA. Which means I didn't even know where was I while I was there!!

So here's a map.
It's just basically across the sea.
We rode a ferry from Dover to Calais.

Me on the ferry. The top deck.

The ferry was extremely big!!! And I don't know why I didn't bother to take the inside of the ferry. Probably because I preferred to be outside, looking at the sea. But again it was freezing cold + the wind was blowing very strongly!!

It's not like the ferry that we have here. The ones that we ride on to get to Labuan. This one is extremely huge, is fully air-conditioned, few decks for you to visit. Has yummy-looking but expensive (to us) food at the food court, arcades, coffee lounges and a duty free shop.

Trust me, I think it's bigger that the Star Cruise I went on when I was a twelve. You can lose 100 calories per deck if you run quick enough. XDD

The ferry ride was about 45 minutes. Took the time in the ferry to get some rest, nap and munched on some chips.

You can even sleep there because there are so many chairs at the waiting lounge =O

AND HERE WE ARE. ANOTHER PART OF THE WORLD (:

TADAH!!!
We haz arrived Belgium!!
*note the chalk wall (I think it's called a chalk wall. Please correct if wrong. It is chalk you know =P) behind...

After travelling for HOURS! On the road and across the sea. Across borders. We finally arrived at Oostende, Belgium. trees! How abnormal =O

OH another funny thing. When we hoped on to the bigger coach at the rest stop, the people in the coach asked me whether I got the right coach. HAHA. That's because the whole coach was filled with people over 40 years old, I think. Nick and I were the youngest ones there. HAHAHAHA

The uncle asked me, "Young lady did you get on the wrong coach? You should be going to Disneyland or something. We're going to Belgium, FYI"

HAHAHA. All I did was smile.

So we stayed in a hotel next to the beach. I loved Oostende. We stayed there throughout the trip. Usually the coach leaves early morning to other cities in Belgium and then we come back to Oostende in the evenings. Good right? I must say, one who loves nice places MUST visit Belgium. I WANNA GO BACK!!!

Belgium itself, made me want to study Architecture. Plainly because the buildings there are so tall and pretty and unusual. They look like houses and buildings from story books, those that you never imagine seeing in real life. The roofs were so unique in its own way and the structure of the buildings were so fantastic. It cannot be described, it was so pretty. I think I was culture shocked by the buildings, not the people. They were just so amazing.

But now the thought of being an architecture has vanished. HAHAHA. Just because.

So upon arrival we checked into the hotel, and had dinner at 8pm in the hotel restaurant. Yeah.

Our menu....
Bread & butter
Soup of the Day/salad, followed by
Meat, Vege, and potato (substitute for rice), and
Dessert!

Dinner wasn't really that extravagant, but it was yummy. We had the same thing over and over again but the way of cooking was different. We had beef on the first day, then chicken, the pork, then beef again. For potatoes it was first baked, salad, fried, mashed. Like that lah. It was the same thing but they cooked it different.

Our days usually ends early in Belgium because shops close at 5pm. Good thing is that you can walk along the beach, and the park. Bad thing is you might not stand the breeze and end up staying in your hotel room, waiting for dinner to be served.

After dinner there are no night markets for us to hang kai, so Nick and I usually watch Disney shows on Belgium's Disney Channel. HAHAHA. It's in English, chillax.

Uhm, so day 3 is basically travelling.

Up next is,
Belgium! Jaw-dropping churches and strawberries (:

P.S: Holidays next week!

Book, you made me cry

Right after trials, I've decided to kick back from my studies for a while and so, I picked this up.

Uhm well, I didn't exactly pick it up from a bookstore, Uncle Dennis and Sai Kuma borrowed it to me. YAY! I've never heard of the author before, nor the title of the book but right now, the author, the story, the characters, the settings are all stuck in my head and would stay there for a little while.

IT'S JUST SSSSOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOD!

So here's the synopsis from the back of the book...

Eric Moro is a medical student eager to earn fast money modeling; Alexandra Taylor is an artist quite accustomed to drawing men's nude bodies. They fall deeply into a relationship astonishing in its intensity that transforms their lives. Then a foolish act from Eric's past rises to cast a devastating shadow over their idyllic relationship. But they will discover that within the very struggle to endure and to fight lie the seeds which can ensure love's survival.

Yeah.

I think if I tell you the whole story you'll probably get all excited and would be DYING to read the book. Then while reading you'll recap what I said and there! It's going to be boring and predictable. So I'll let you cry and sob and stay up late to read this yourself rather than spoil all the fun.

Whoever wants to borrow, line up! The book is with Marie.

Brighton Day Two- The day we froze

Hey! So here's day 2!! =D

We woke up early the morning the next day. Perhaps at around 5am. The sky was already bright then. The 6 of us were jet-lagged, waking up early in the morning, and did the lamest thing the world could ever think of. EAT LEFTOVER FISH & CHIPS!!!

hahaha

Well, we were a bit hungry and we shouldn't let good food go to waste, right??

After Uncle Dennis and Sai Kuma woke up we told them about our early 'breakfast' and they said we were supposed to feed the leftovers to the birds outside their house =O Or the foxes. HUH?!? Yeah they said that there were foxes around but we didn't see any. But po, ma, and I did feed the birds and they were very sneaky!!!

picture before leaving. Checked out all the sweet stuff that Sai Kuma stocked for us to being home. KIT KATTTTTT!!!

Headed out early for Sunday Mass in a Catholic Church. It was over at Hove, the other part of Sussex, correct me if I'm wrong. Uncle Dennis used to work there last time if I'm correct. Service was interesting. It was the shortest mass I've ever been to. Guess how long was it???

45 minutes!!!!

IKR!! It was fast and short and sweet. Whoo! The church was also pretty. All churches are pretty =)

Started to rain after that. Rushed to the car.

Next stop : Breakfast!

Went to a place called Wetherspoons. Cool place with a very warm vibe (:
There's something not right about this pic. Try spotting it =P

The menu. Uhm, looked through it but didn't order anything. Sai Kuma ordered for us newbies. hehehe

My drink. Hot chocolate. KICK LAH!!! My brother got jealous because he only had tea. HAHA

Sauces from the sauce table!! They just leave it there and let you guys take whatever you want. So good oh~ So uhm, we took one each as souvenirs =O

So here is breakfast!

The very famous Kidney Pie. I loved it. It was nice, and different. haha. Ma and po didn't like it because they said that the kidney pie smelt weird. Only pa seemed to enjoy. I think it's nice but my plate better!!!

English breakfast?? Hungry already?

Nick and I shared a portion. Baked beans (their beans are way smaller than what we have here!), sunny side up (the egg), tomato, mushroom, hash brown, sausage and bacon!!! It's more than enough for the both of us. hehehehe

Maybe only enough for me because Nick didn't want the mushroom and tomato so all I gave him was half of the sausage, some bacon, baked beans and half of the egg. HAHA. And I bet he didn't take a single bite of that kidney pie. Poor him.

BACON!

I took a picture with the waiter there. He's also a muscian, I heard. HAHA. Ma and the rest were daring me to take a picture with him, I don't know why. LOL

After breakfast, walked acrossed the street and found TESCO! A supermarket! WHOO!
Our family has some kind of craving about going in to supermarkets. Ma wants to look at stuff (maybe like what brand of soap they have), pa likes to look at yogurt and stuff, my grandpa took interest of bread and pastry, my po is always tempted by vege and fruits and cheese, nick likes to grab chips and sweet stuff. And me? CANDY!!!!

So yeah. If we have no idea where to go we'd probably end up in Tesco or Sainbury's or ASDA.

After that, we walked around Hove. Only for a while. I'm emphasizing on the A WHILE. Within that time, kung bought a lawnmower and po managed to purchase a food processor. I don't know how they did it. They just did. HAHAHAHA. I'm not going to comment on that!!!

Sai Kuma and Uncle Dennis dropped us at The Marina because they had to attend a tea party. It was the Duke & Duchess of Richmond's Wedding Anniversary. They're close friends of my uncle and aunt so they had to go wah. =D So cool they have these kind of tea party stuff. *jealous

*We also visited their house so stay tuned to the posts coming up!

The Marina.
It's like The Marina we have here in Sutera harbour, only bigger and it's open to public!!! Bad thing is that we froze to death here. I had my hands in my pocket the whole time and I bet po's toes were numb. Walked around a factory outlet, where Nick bought a jumper for only 5 pounds. Quite cheap lah but I didn't get anything. I was cold.

Had some donuts.
The only donuts we had for the whole trip and it was delish.

Saw a Ben & Jerry's vending machine!! Is it cool or what?!?!?!?!

So this is the front of the Marina, where we found this chinese ship thingy. I think it's a restaurant. The whole walk along The Marina was really nice, but it was REALLY COLD!!!! Not forgetting the wind! It blew, uhm, continuously and trust me, no one's hair was neatly combed that day.

Loved the sails (:

Saw a character from Toy's Story walking around =O

In the end, we couldn't stand the cold. Po and kung surrendered and decided to have lunch in Subway. Nick followed. I followed ma and pa who chose to dine at a small coffee house!

I had apple struddle.

After that, we walked for a bit. And entered another supermarket! Asda! But we ended up in George, the department in the supermarket where they sold clothes and shoes and socks and underwear. Trust me, George itself is bigger than the whole Parkson we have here! I think we spent about 2 hours there alone in George and by the time we were done, the supermarket was closing. SAD! We didn't even get to walk downstairs.

Stores closed early that day. At 5pm because it was a Sunday! Ended up sitting on the benches outside Asda. And then we went into McDonalds' to stay warm. Went back to the square of the Marina and you know where we hid?! Underneath the stairs of a hotel. SO KESIAN OH WE WERE LIKE HOMELESS KIDS COLD AND LOST!! And then we switched to the bowling alley, then cinema, then back to the bowling alley again. Gave up. Stayed there for a long time.

Trust me, it was the first time all of us felt really cold. HAHAHA

Luckily Sai Kuma and Uncle Dennis came to pick us up and we went back to their place. ALL OF US WERE SERIOUSLY FREEZING!!!!!

Just thinking about that day makes me cold.

Didn't go out that night. All of us were tired. Tried chinese takeaway for the first time. They really deliver it to your doorstep! And it tasted good!!!

Folded in early that day due to exhaustion!!

So that was how our day ended!!! hahaha. Stay tuned for day 3!! It's half a day in Brighton and we headed to Belgium!!

What you have to do when you turn 17

Get your driver's license.

& I haz just passed the test today (:

Friday, July 15, 2011

Oh look! It works

This week, those who are born in 1994, who lives in Malaysia, and who are preparing for their SPM exam took the whole week off just to get into a website to check their destiny, on whether or not they will be chosen to join National Service.

=________________________=

Honestly, with so many 17-year-olds in Malaysia, the PLKN website should be more high tech and should work faster so we can suffer less in front of the screen. YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I PRESSED THE F5 BUTTON AND STILL COULD NOT GET IN?!?!?!?!?!

Oh the agony.

I gave up in the end and asked ma to send a text in the morning. And the text messaging system also very slow lah!! The news came in at 11pm or so, when I was asleep =O

The next morning ma shocked me with news while I was half awake, sipping my tea. I GOT IN!! Like, I was blur, then it settled.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got in =D

I was hoping to get in lah and was super glad I was selected. Some of the people don't wanna get chosen because they say it's gonna be suffering in there blah blah blah...And others who weren't chosen but wanted to go were envying the ungrateful ones. hehehe

NNNNAHHH! I finally got in the site,
4 days later

Oh another funny thing.
After ma told me that I was selected, I happy happy this when I arrived school but my classmates said that I wasn't chosen.

Then I was like, "huh?"

The rest also blur because they saw my face blur. LOL

Our class teacher helped us check and typed out the results on the paper and it states that I was not chosen.

And so, I felt weird.

I checked the paper and the result was really a 'NO', but when I checked my IC number, the teacher had typed it wrong =_______________=

HAHAHA

Law Olympiad 2011

If you want to read the post about the Olympiad which I took part in last year, click here

Last year, I think we were really blur and had no clue what we signed up for. This year, we were a wee bit smarter but guess what? We were outsmarted by another team, from our school. LOL. I think last year our team did pretty poorly, we almost came in last. But today we did super good in the first round. It's called 'Whodunnit?', a game where they give you 3 cases, and you are needed to find the culprit. The total marks of this game is 30 and you know what we got?? 29!!!

All of us were like, O___________________________O
Oh my. Never expected to get such high marks, and at that time, we were leading, unbelievable!

But in the end, we went home with the fourth place. We didn't get cash prizes like the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd team did but we won in our hearts. My heart. Although we didn't do well in the game called 'Best Plea/Best Alibi', I still think we kicked some butt today. =D I mean, who gets a 29 over 30 in the first game, it like, never happen. Oh yeah.

So I'm very happy that we joined the competition. Win or lose, it doesn't matter at all. The highlight is that we had great fun during the whole process!! =D

A picture of us.
Boomchikalakaboomboom!!!

Group photo with our teacher-in-charge, the organizer and the other team from school (whom won second place. *show off!)

A freestyle one.

Then after that, we didn't want to leave the hall because this would probably the last time I'd visit Tshung Tsin's hall, hahaha, so we decided to take MORE pictures =) So we did the famous High School Musical jump snap =)

Sorry the editing so crappy, I had to be quick.
See? Our group knows how to work, and have fun =D

Brighton Day One

I have the blogging itch to tell you guys about my recent trip to the United Kingdom. Okay, it's not that recent but it happened a month ago. hahaha. But memories will never get old =)

My family and I, along with my grandparents, survived the 16-hour flight and arrived in the famous Heathrow Airport, London and quickly got into our taxi and headed down to our first destination, Brighton. Sorry ah no picture of the airport because pa booked the taxi beforehand so after collecting our luggage, we went into the car straight away.

I remember the moment while walking towards the carpark, I very sakai, amazed by that tiny part of London, that I almost got banged by a taxi at the crossing. LOL. But the driver pro lah so I didn't get killed on my first big trip to a place so grand.

Brighton is home to my aunt (小姑妈) and her husband, Uncle Dennis. Both of them are from Malaysia, but have been living there since, FOREVER! Pa also studied in Brighton for a few years so, that's why we are there for holiday =)

Arrived Brighton earlier than expected. I think all of us were tired and jetlagged. Oh, one more thing. IT WAS VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY COLD!!!! It's summer there but it was so cold. I think it was because of some wind blowing from somwhere so the weather had a sudden change. So being people from the tropical part of the globe we were practically, freezing.

But breakfast came to save us! My aunt (okay from here onwards I'm gonna call her Sai Kuma) prepared a very typical English breakfast? Which I think they have it every day but for us it's only once in 10 years. LOL

Table to feed 8 person. No worries. Lots more in the kitchen.

Didn't take a picture of my aunt's apartment!! Uhm, I think I did but it's in another album hahaha. Sorry lah you might say that I'm lazy and that I'm being a lousy blogger (which I might be) but I took around 2000 pictures with my own camera and there are around 4000 pictures all together. =/

Quick brief about the place. So Sai Kuma's apartment has only 3 rooms. One is their bedroom, and the other two rooms are occupied with their work desks and fishing equipment. We slept in sleeping bags (not for me, I slept on the sofa!) for the two nights and had to share a bathroom. You know how I like to jump around while I walk? I was not allowed to do that because I was afraid that the family downstairs might get a heart attack.HAHAHA. But I enjoyed the two nights we spent there cramped in that tiny space. It was totally fun and much warmer than living in a hotel =)

Now, where was I? >.<

They have mushrooms for breakfast =O RARE.

After that, took a drive to a nearby church. Took lots of pictures along the road. It may be facinating to me, but WILL BE boring for you. because I take pictures of almost everything

bread no dust meh when you reach home?

The church we first visited (I'm saying this because we really visited A LOT of churches) is named St. Bartholomew's. If I am not wrong, it's one of the oldest Catholic churches in the UK.

Nick and I inside the church. Note the organ behind it's like WHOOOAAA!

Everytime I step into the churches there kan, my jaw drops. Like, it really drops and I feel that my saliva is almost going to drop too. I'm in awe.

After visiting the church, we headed down to the heart of Brighton, where they're having their Fringe Festival. It is a festival held once a year in May where they have bazaars, dances, and all that fun stuff.

Grafitti along the road...

The famous British postbox and phone booth

So we walked around North Laine and the place where they sell loads of antique goods, and the alley where they sold farm products. Quit the quacking, I don't really know the exact names to the streets but I know what I saw there =P

My favourite shop in the whole entire world.
I know I sound like a kid but I really DECLARE it as my favourite shop in the whole entire world. I've been in there on day one, then went back there for 2 and a half more times. And it's still not enough!!! Okay, now I feel like going back into that shop again.

houses along the road. So pretty the flowers!

The Antique shop that we went in. Lots of cool stuff in there which I have never, ever ever, seen in my life. The most bizarre thing I've found is an antique 'Twister'.Now I wonder how you play that.

Temptation along the road =O
We just had breakfast but quickly we got hungry
maybe it's because of the cold weather and our fats are too thin to keep us warm

I HAVE NEVER, EVER EVER, SEEN THIS KIND OF SCRUM-DIDDLY-LUMPSCIOUS CAKE BEFORE!
and I regret not buying one to try T_____________T

One of the stalls in the farm market...

So after walking for hours and hours with our jetlagged bodies (not that I mind but seriously, it was exhausting) we wanted to settle for lunch. Unfortunately, most of the indoor cafes were occupied, we couldn't sit outside to have tea because of the cold weather, so were walking here and there to look for a place to fill up our tummies.

We went into a very cool bar and thought we can have something there but were soon chased out because Nick and I were under 18. Pfft. They didn't put the sign outside pun.

In the end, we went into a place where they're having an all-you-can-eat kind of promotion so we were well fed.

pa's. Didn't take mine because I was too hungry, and cold =O

Visited a candy shop after that and it was, another jawdropping moment.
After this trip I realized that I'm a person who is easily facinated with tiny things. LOL

So yeah, everyone was tired (except for my uncle and aunt) so we went back to their pad. Showered and took a short nap.

This is the view from the window of the living room at their place.
IKR. *jaw drops

We wanted to have Fish and Chips for dinner at the club house nearby but their kitchen was closed by then. Cannot blame them because we left the house around 9pm, FOR DINNER. hahaha. We (sai kuma, ma, pa and I) took a detour to another restaurant to tapau Fish and Chips while the others went back to the apartment to wait for food.

So here we are. The Fish & Chips takeaway.
YUMM!

They don't only sell Fish & Chips...

This picture does no justice to the Fish & Chips =(
It's really yummy lah. We ordered 3 Cod sets plus an additional piece of Haddock but the 8 of us could not finish 'em!!! The portion is THAT big. The next day we got up early(because of jet lag) and finished the leftovers while waiting for my aunt and uncle to wake up.

After the food, we hit the sleeping bags.

Except for Nick who was too tired and decided to sleep in his jeans.

Day 2 coming up in a lightyear.
Having trials in about, a month =/
